TechAlert 10 Patented Technology The TechAlert 10 is an on-line inductive sensor designed to count and size for both ferrous and non-ferrous wear debris in circulating oil lubrication systems. Metallic particles pass through the sensor causing changes in the inductance of a transducer coil. These changes appear as a frequency shift, allowing discrimination between ferrous and non-ferrous particles, while the signal amplitude indicates particle size and concentration. The data is then displayed in 10 size ranges (5 ferrous, 5 non-ferrous) giving greater information to make better decisions. By having an idea of the size of debris it is possible to identify what type of wear/fault is occurring. The unit uses a patented screening technique to eliminate any false counts caused by air or water bubbles in the lubricating oil system. By creating a unique signature of the process equipment the TechAlert 10 will give the user early indications of component wear, giving time for pro active maintenance, reducing the risk of catastrophic failure, saving time and money as well as helping to effectively manage a valuable asset. A prime example of this can be found in our Airtricity Case Study. Specification Working Pressure 0 to 10 Bar guage (0 to 145 psi) (0 to 1 MPa)
