Condition Monitoring

Special Projects

Due to the size and set-up of Macom we are able to offer our clients an enhanced capability which includes the development of special projects within the area of condition monitoring. By utilising the abilities of our in-house design engineering team we can provide both mechanical and electronic services as well as access to a range of ‘other’ sensors including viscosity, temperature and dielectric constant.

Examples of our capability include:

Signal Interface Module:

An interface module to convert the data from our sensors into a bespoke signal so that our client; one of the major wind turbine manufactures, can run our sensors on older model turbines that don’t have the latest control systems.

Flow Diversion Module:

There was a requirement to connect our sensor into an off-line filtration system. By working with the filtration system supply a manifold was designed and manufacturer that allowed for the oil flow to be diverted through the TechAlert sensor and then back into the oil line before the filter.

‘TechLink’

Designed to satisfy a specific need by one of Macom’s clients. The Techlink is used to take the data from the Techalert 10 sensor and convert its output signals into a series of pulses equivalent to the number of debris detected. There are two versions available; single channel (data is accumulated and overlaid as a series of single pulses) and multi channel (a different channel is used for each size range of the TA10)
